
The Head of the Georgia-Turkey Friendship Group, Giorgi Chkonia, and the Group members met with the Parliamentary Delegation of Turkey, visiting Georgia.
The parties dwelt on bilateral relations and Parliamentary cooperation prospects.
Georgian MPs thanked their Turkish colleagues for supporting the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Georgia.
“Georgia has a strategic and friendly state in Turkey. During the meeting with the members of the Turkish parliamentary delegation, it was noted that Georgia and Turkey have great potential for cooperation. We have opportunities to further deepen our cooperation in trade and economy, as well as in medicine, education and tourism. While discussing the inter-parliamentary cooperation, the sides emphasized the importance of exchange visits of committees, which will make our relations even more productive”, - Chair of the Diaspora Committee, Irakli Zarkua noted.
The meeting was attended by the Georgia-Turkey Friendship Group members, Mariam Lashkhi, Irakli Zarkua, Anzor Bolkvadze and Gia Benashvili.
