Meeting of Zaza Lominadze and Vakhtang Turnava with Chairman of the Georgian Innovation and Technology Agency

Zaza Lominadze, Chairman of the Healthcare and Social Issues Committee, and MP Vakhtang Turnava met with Avtandil Kasradze, Chairman of the Georgian Innovation and Technology Agency (GITA).

The meeting focused on the ongoing work for opening and developing a technology hub in Kutaisi, housed in the former Parliament building. Avtandil Kasradze briefed the MPs on the current infrastructure works, emphasizing that efforts are being made to ensure the Kutaisi Technology Hub welcomes the public in the fall.

Discussions also covered the involvement of other cities alongside Kutaisi in the process, aiming to give regional youth opportunities for education, development, and employment through the technology hub.

“This is a highly significant project for Georgia, particularly for Kutaisi", - Zaza Lominadze stated and added that, “it will allow our young people to learn, engage with cutting-edge global technologies, and find employment. We are confident that the technology hub, together with the Kutaisi International University, will play a crucial role in the development of the city and the region".
