Zaza Lominadze, Chair of the Health Care and Social Issues Committee, held a meeting with the Healthcare Minister of Turkey, Kemal Memişoğlu.
The parties reviewed the friendly and partnership relationship and dwelt on the cooperation prospects in the healthcare and pharmaceutical spheres.
“We met with the Healthcare Minister of Turkey, accompanied by a representative delegation. There are significant agreements and treaties in force between Georgia and Turkey that cover multiple healthcare areas, particularly oncology. Citizens of our country, including children, are successfully receiving treatment in Turkey through the state programme. During the meeting, we emphasised the longstanding cooperation between Georgia and Turkey and outlined future plans in both the healthcare and pharmaceutical sectors. I am confident that this visit will further contribute to the development of collaboration between the two countries in the healthcare sector”, - Z. Lominadze noted.
The meeting was attended by the Deputy Chairs of the Committee, Vladimir Kakhadze and Zaal Mikeladze.
