Beka Odisharia, Givi Chichinadze and Merab Kvaraia to Serve Working Visit to Kingdom of the Netherlands and Kingdom of Belgium

The Chair of the Diaspora and Caucasus Issues Committee Beka Odisharia, First Deputy Chairman of the Committee Givi Chichinadze and the Member of Parliament Merab Kvaraia will serve the working visit to the Kingdom of Netherlands and the Kingdom of Belgium on February 15-20 as part of the invitation from Foundation “Diaspora Alliance for Georgia” and Georgian Cultural Center.

During the visit, B. Odisharia and G. Chichinadze will participate in an international project – Diasporas for United Georgia, the Role of the Public Diplomacy in Georgian-Abkhazian Relationships - organized by the Georgian Cultural Center in the Netherlands, The Hague and Brussels and Foundation “Diaspora Alliance for Georgia” (Founder: Tinatin Svanidze-Venco).

The project includes the Diaspora Forum organized with the participation of a number of EU and US diaspora organizations; Exhibition Project by Korneli Kekelidze National Center of Manuscripts "Manuscripts Reveal the Hidden"; Presentation of the book "With Common Past to Common Future" on the topic of Abkhazia; Presentation of the book by Guram Odisharia; Exhibition by Abkhazian artist in the Netherlands, Giorgi Shengelia -"Children Shoot Back”, etc.

The Georgian Orthodox Eparchy of Belgium and Netherlands; Georgian Cultural Center in the Kingdom of the Netherlands; Greek Cultural Center of Georgia, etc. will be actively involved in the project.

The project also includes: the Supreme Council of Abkhazia and the Government of the A/R of Abkhazia.

Within the framework of the visit, the Heads of the Diaspora and Caucasus Issues Committee will hold extended meetings with our compatriots living in the Netherlands and Belgium.
