Beka Odisharia: Georgian culture is the headmost key to our diplomacy

“Georgian culture is the headmost key to our diplomacy and a key to the full-fledged EU membership of Georgia. As you may know, physics, chemistry and geometry are the same throughout the world, only culture is unique and I believe the West – EU, and USA – needs us with our unique culture”, - the Chair of the Diaspora and Caucasus Issues Committee, Beka Odisharia stated at the Special Session of the Advisory Council of the Culture Committee.
He accentuated the role of the diaspora in the promotion of Georgian culture overseas. He dwelt on the importance of the activity of the Advisory Council where prominent representatives of the spheres of culture, science and art are assembled. At that, he highlighted that similar events are necessary to be henceforward held with the participation of the representatives of the Georgian cultural figures abroad and the successful diaspora members. They are the goodwill ambassadors of Georgia across the globe and invaluably contribute to the introduction of the Georgian culture and conducting cultural diplomacy to the wide world.
The session was attended by the Speaker, Shalva Papuashvili, MPs, Government members, the representatives of Georgian culture and the Ambassadors of various countries
