Gela Samkharauli met with the Agriculture Minister of Azerbaijan

Gela Samkharauli, Chair of the Agriculture Committee, met with the Minister of Agriculture of Azerbaijan, Majnun Mammadov, and members of the delegation.
The meeting emphasized the historical friendship between Georgia and Azerbaijan. The parties discussed cooperation prospects in the field of agriculture between the two countries. During the meeting, emphasis was placed on maximizing the use of the resources of both countries. Discussions included strengthening the middle corridor and connecting the Caspian and Black Sea basin countries, as well as linking Asian and European countries.
The parties talked about prospects for deepening trade and economic relations, developing bilateral trade, and providing maximum support to farmers.
"It will be important to unite our forces and produce goods of equal quality to jointly offer to other big countries and networks, as there are instances when our production is insufficient in terms of quantity and delivery. With the united forces of the two countries, we will be able to ensure a stable supply of products", - noted Gela Samkharauli.
He mentioned that to increase the effectiveness of sectoral cooperation in agriculture, a joint working group will be established between the two countries. The parties also discussed the importance of deepening education in the field. Attention was focused on cooperation in educational programs and the sharing of knowledge and experience.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Chair of the Committee, Davit Sherazadishvili, and a member of the Georgia-Azerbaijan Friendship Group, Zaur Dargali, as well as the Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Georgia, H.E. Faig Guliyev.
