The Chair of the Rules and Procedural Issues Committee, Irakli Kadagishvili, and the First Deputy Chair of the Committee, Irakli Shatakishvili, met with the Ambassador of the European Union to Georgia, H.E. Pawel Herczynski to discuss the activities of the Parliament and the implementation of the 12-point recommendation.

"I brought up the work done by the Committee in this area during the meeting with the Ambassador, focusing on the second recommendation, implying the increase of parliamentary oversight. We spoke in depth about the expanded oversight capabilities that have already been authorized and implemented", - Irakli Kadagishvili commented after the meeting.

The parties also addressed what actions Georgia should do soon and what function the Rules and Procedural Issues Committee should serve in order for Georgia to be designated as a candidate for EU membership.

"According to the Ambassador, Georgia really has all the prerequisites to achieve this goal”, - Irakli Kadagishvili noted.
