Merab Kvaraia: we protect values since we shall keep in mind that these values protect us, our homeland and humankind

“A couple of years ago we could not even imagine that we would have to assemble around this seemingly simple issue discussing that a man and a woman unify to create a family. Unfortunately, today, we have to not only discuss but protect the values that served as a driving force for us through the centuries”, - the Majority MP, Merab Kvaraia stated at the universal-public consideration of the Draft Constitutional Laws in Zugdidi.

He underlined the significance and necessity of the Draft Constitutional Laws.

“Our great ancestor inherited to us a wisdom expressed in three words – language, homeland, religion. These words cover all our action plans and directions. Our Patriarch also awarded us with his wisdom – Lord, Homeland, Human! And I believe, we all know the path that we shall adhere to and thus, this discussion is timely indeed. The Constitutional changes developed by the “Georgian Dream” are timely initiated. The opinions and support of each of you are valuable for us and shall be reflected in the Constitution”, - he stated.

Per his elucidation, it is crucial to make decisions ensuring our proper direction, making us state that we will never derive from this path.

“This path leads us to victory. We shall always keep in mind that these values protect us, our homeland and humankind”, - he stated.
