Shota Berekashvili and Mariam Lashkhi met with the founder and the CEO of the crypto assets exchange “Bitflyer”

Shota Berekashvili, Chair of the Economic Policy Committee, and Mariam Lashkhi, Chair of the Education, Science and Youth Affairs Committee, met with the founder and the CEO of the crypto assets exchange “Bitflyer”, Yuzo Kano.

The discourse encompassed the opportunity of investing in Georgia by “Bitflyer”.

“In our deliberations on the Georgia-Japan economic relations, we identified the “Bitflyer,” a prominent cryptocurrency asset leading company in Japan with a 40% market share, as a potential investor. We presented the investment environment in Georgia, highlighting its favourable and open market conditions for international investors. The emphasis was placed on the simplicity of business operations in Georgia, the freedom of capital movement, and the low tax rates.

Furthermore, we informed our esteemed guest about the tax remissions available to IT companies and innovative startups. Additionally, we underscored Georgia’s ability to facilitate the operation of companies in Azerbaijan, Armenia, and Central Asia.

Our commitment is to facilitate the establishment of international IT companies in Georgia, thereby creating new job opportunities, fostering innovation, and driving the country’s technological advancement”, - Sh. Berekashvili noted.

The meeting was attended by the Ambassador of Georgia to Japan, H.E. Teimuraz Lezhava.
