The Independent MP, Eka Beselia held the introductory meeting with the Ambassador of the Netherlands, H.E. Maaike van Koldam to discuss the pre-election period and the judicial reform.

“We discussed the pre-election period, expectations, campaign, priorities and the judicial reform of course, which is the milestone of democracy and jurisdiction. We consider these elections and this political process in the angle to finalize the judicial reform, which requires the multitude of the observers to ensure the fair elections and free expression of the will of the people as it is the basis for finalization of the launched reforms”, - E. Beselia noted.

She thanked the Ambassador for the projects implemented in Georgia.

“We enjoy the traditionally good communication with the Embassy for years. I thanked the Ambassador for implementing the significant projects in Georgia for enhancement of democracy, including the enhancement of oversight in terms of the judicial reform and human rights”, - she added.
