According to the decision of the Bureau, the Parliament starts the Committee hearings of the Draft law on the Declaration of the Organic Law on the Business Ombudsman Void.

The legal initiative envisages the dissolution of the Business Ombudsman’s Office as of January 1, 2026; in addition, the Draft Law dissolves the positions of the Business Ombudsman and his Deputies.

The employees dismissed on the basis of the liquidation will receive compensation equal to three official wages.

The Draft Law is initiated and authored by MPs Shota Berekashvili, Levan Machavariani, Giorgi Barvenashvili and Tornike Berekashvili.
