Giorgi Gabunia, Chair of the Culture Committee, visited the Diocese of Bolnisi and met with the Archbishop, the Eminent Ephraim (Gamrekelidze).

Mr. Gabunia and the Archbishop visited the Bolnisi Sioni Cathedral, dated to the 5th century and got cognizant of the conditions of the ancient monument.

As noted, the historic monument is getting prepared for the preservation and restoration works.

Mr. Gabunia also visited the unique domed cathedral of the 13th century - Tsugrugasheni.

The meeting was attended by the Delegate of the Bolnisi, Dmanisi, Tetritskaro and Tsalka municipalities, MP David Sherazadishvili.
