Maia Bitadze, Chair of the Environmental Protection and Natural Resources Committee, and her Deputy, Giorgi Khakhubia, held a meeting with the Minister of Agriculture of Ajara AR, Denis Salukvadze, and his Deputies to discuss the Ministry's strategic plans in the environmental sphere.

Special emphasis was placed on the restoration of the Black Sea coastline, including coastal protection and phytosanitary measures.

The discourse encompassed the expansion of the protected areas’ system and the facilitation of the solid forest management practices.

The parties emphasised the imperative of restoring the shortage occupations in environmental protection and agriculture, which would facilitate the development of vocational education and the training of competent personnel.
