Mariam Lashkhi attended the presentation of the project “Me, Family, State”

Mariam Lashkhi, Chair of the Education, Science and Youth Affairs Committee, attended the presentation of the project “Me, Family, State”.
She addressed the attendees, stressing the significance of the project and emphasising the demographic issues and the preservation of the national identity.
“Demography is one of the key pillars of national security. It is directly linked to the country’s safety and future. It is vitally important to strengthen efforts to improve the demographic situation and preserve national identity. It is also essential to remember our history, inasmuch as knowledge of the past enables us to properly plan the country’s future development”, - she stated.
The project was represented by Tamar Chiburdanidze, the Chair of the Board of the Demographic Revival Foundation.
The addresses were also delivered by: MP Zurab Kadagidze; the Deputy Director of the Youth Agency, Anzor Megrelishvili; Director of the National Library, Konstantine Gamsakhurdia; Director of the Zurab Zhvania State Administration School, David Giorgadze; and other invited guests.
The project is designed for the youth, and its main principle is the synthesis of tradition and modernity. It is a four-month project conducted in the form of a competition and covers the following thematic areas: family, intergenerational relationships, migration, and the promotion of a healthy lifestyle. Young people who win the competition will receive various prizes.
The project “Me, Family, State” is implemented by the Georgian Demographic Revival Foundation within the grant competition “Strengthening Youth Organizations” organized by the LEPL Youth Agency.
The project is co-financed by Tbilisi City Hall.
