The meeting’s primary focus was on the significant contributions of female scientists to the advancement of scientific knowledge. Furthermore, the meeting highlighted the substantial state support provided to female and young researchers and scientists.

“We extended an invitation to the accomplished female scientists who received recognition on February 11th, the International Day of Women and Girls in Science. We have cultivated a longstanding collaborative partnership with them, supported by executive authorities, and engage in regular discussions on the avenues for advancing women’s opportunities in science and their participation in international scientific endeavours. Today’s event centred on identifying the challenges faced by scientists and outlining their forthcoming priorities,” - N. Tsilosani noted.

According to her, supporting women scientists constitutes one of the primary directions of the Education, Science and Youth Ministry and the Ministry has reaffirmed its commitment to undertaking significant reforms in this sphere.

The meeting was attended by the Deputy Education, Science and Youth Minister, Ana Mgebrishvili.
