MP Rati Ionatamishvili held a meeting with the representatives of the Health Ministry and healthcare sphere. The parties discussed the initiative aiming at the improvement of the legal base and elimination of discriminative and unethical records toward persons with disabilities.

“We developed an initiative stipulating the purification of the legislation from discriminative and unethical records toward persons with disabilities. In this context, it is paramount to determine the informed approval that will come in compliance with the convention on persons with disabilities. In this view, we met with the representatives of a medical sphere and heard their positions. We are aspired to ensure improvement of the legislation and by-laws, completing it with the terms and approaches according to the standards of the convention”, - R. Ionatamishvili noted.
