The Regional Policy and Self-Government Committee deliberated on the Draft Municipal Code, submitted for summary consideration by Zurab Iashvili, the Deputy Regional Development Minister.

According to the reporter, the applicable regulations of the Code establish the validity term of Article 159 for the implementation of the infrastructural projects as of January 1, 2026, while the amendments extend the period through January 1, 2031, which will enable the state agencies to undertake various infrastructural projects.

As the Deputy Minister elucidated, the term is extended due to the duration and intensity of the works.

The Committee approved the Draft.
