The Speaker of the Parliament, H.E. Shalva Papuashvili, will submit a written request to the President of Georgia to convene extraordinary parliamentary sessions on 16–17 December.

 

As stated by Shalva Papuashvili, a list of issues to be considered at the extraordinary sessions will be forwarded to the President together with the letter.

 

The Bureau reviewed new legislative initiatives and decided to commence their consideration in committees.

 

The legislative initiatives envisage amendments to the Law on Civil Security, the Criminal Procedure Code of Georgia, the Law on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, the Customs Code of Georgia, and other legislative acts.

 

At the Bureau meeting, the lead committees were designated for draft laws to be considered under simplified and expedited procedures.
