On 25–26 April, a series of events were held in Akhmeta, Telavi, and Gurjaani to mark Technology Month, aiming to encourage more active youth participation in the fields of science and technology.

The events were organised on the initiative of Parliament Vice-Speaker Nino Tsilosani and First Deputy Chair of the Foreign Relations Committee Mariam Lashkhi, in cooperation with the Georgian Innovation and Technology Agency (GITA).

In Telavi, Akhmeta, and Gurjaani, informational meetings and thematic lectures were conducted.

The project, titled "NEXT GEN: Youth in Science and Technology", highlighted once again the essential role of the next generation in driving the country’s technological advancement.

Additionally, the presentation of the research study "STEM Opportunities and Challenges in Georgia – An Analysis of the Education System, Labour Market, and Legislative Framework" was held, where the main findings of the research were introduced.

The primary objectives of the events were to: increase youth interest in science and technology; promote STEM fields (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics); foster wider engagement with vocational education; and motivate young people to develop and implement innovative ideas.
